Baked Spicy Snack Mix: The Perfect Cocktail Gnosh
This is the ultimate blend of spicy, crunchy, buttery and salty. It goes perfectly with a well chilled cocktail.
Baked Snack Mix
3 cups Rice Chex cereal
3 cups Corn Chex cereal
3 cups pretzel sticks
2 cups cocktail peanuts
1 stick of butter
1 tablespoon Lawry's season salt
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
Cayenne pepper
Heat oven 350 degrees. Line 2 cookie sheets with foil. Melt butter in a microwave safe bowl. Add salt, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce to the melted butter. Mix well. Pour the cereal, pretzels and peanuts in a large bowl. Next pour the butter mixture over the cereal mixture. Using a rubber spatula, toss until well coated and the seasoning is evenly distributed. Pour out snack mix onto cookie sheets, using spatula to spread into a single layer. Sprinkle with Cayenne pepper ( based on how spicy you like it) Bake for 7 minutes, turning the cookie sheets halfway through.
Cool on paper towels and serve.
Cooks Note: This will remain crunchy and delicious for 2 weeks in an airtight container
